At the end of that film, Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) casts a devastating spell that makes the world forget that Peter Parker (Tom Holland) ever existed. Yes, it saves the multiverse, but at the cost of Spider-Man fans’ hearts everywhere, as Peter’s girlfriend, MJ (Zendaya), and best friend, Ned (Jacob Batalon), now no longer remember him. Separated from his support network, Peter is more isolated than ever by the time Brand New Day rolls around.
